Harmonie Orkest Twente – known as HOT – is a young association founded in 2004.
HOT strives for the highest possible musical level and at the same time wants to be a real club.
In addition to making music together, activities are regularly organized to strengthen the mutual bond.

HOT rehearses every Monday evening from 19:45 to 22:00 in the beating heart of Roombeek, the community center “Prismare”.

ABOUT OUR CONDUCTOR
The Dutch conductor Joop Boerstoel studied at the conservatories of Enschede (Ha/Fa conducting and clarinet) and Maastricht (orchestral conducting). Since 1995, Joop has also been active internationally as a guest conductor and course leader. At publishing house “de Haske” (Hal Leonard) he contributed to the development of the series ‘Horen, Lezen & Spelen’. As an editor he was involved in the creation of the book ‘The Tao of conducting’ by his teacher and mentor Jan Stulen. Since 1998, Boerstoel has been a senior music advisor at Musidesk Rijnbrink in Deventer. Since 2012 Boerstoel has been active at the RIC (Repertoire Information Centre). From July 2015 to July 2022, Joop was a board member of WASBE. He conducts several wind orchestras and is conductor/artistic director of La Sinfonia Contea (symphony orchestra).
